These will be for my new Springer Trophy Match. The mold I picked up on the cheap(I mean really cheap) and it drops boolits like rain. I will be using 231 and will develope this load up to be a soft target plinker load.

Nice looking bullets, what weight are those? I cast a .230 gr. TL RN for a friends 45 using 4.5 grs. of Bullseye and it's a very accurate load.

It's the RCBS 45-200-SWC mold, pose to cast 200gr but with WW's it's a smidgen heavier

Those will do just fine. Try their 45-201-SWC or 45-201-KT (older version) if you want to try an H&G 68 style SWC. I cast them by the bucket load and have grown to prefer RCBS molds.

Actually if your .45 will function 100% with lead SWCs, it isn't a bad bullet for medium game hunting and self defense. Still makes a .452 hole, and the flat nose "dumps" some energy in the target. More smack than a round nose. Good lookin' bullets!
