When do moose usually start shedding their velvet? Season starts here in Idaho Aug. 30 and Im not interested in a velvet antlered moose.

In Northern BC they are usually done shedding by the first week in September.....

Popped a bull last year on Sept. 14 he was in full velvet.Must of been lazy?

Killed mine I think on Oct 1 and he too was lazy.....................
