Alaska is considered international. My friend and his wife just returned from Texas yesterday. Apparently his wife was shopping at Macy's and they offered one of their discount cards. She of course said "No, there isn't a Macy's anywhere near me." The clerk said "Oh, where are you from?" When my friend replied "Alaska" she was told she was eligible for the 10% international customer discount. The sad part is the clerk even confirmed this with her manager.
Deal with it.

I once tried to order a scope from the Sportsman Guide catalog. When I gave them my Alaska address they told me, "Sorry we can't ship riflescopes out of the country."
