I was on the QRF (Quick Reaction Force) that went out immediately when the ambush was sprung. The Dodger took a ball from the Gook claymore in his head. KIA instantly. When we took out the bodies (4 total) I took my corner of Greg's poncho and wouldn't relinquish my position. I stayed with him until the chopper arrived to take out our dead and I helped load him in. So War Brother,Best Friend, I will toast your passing and our Friendship in many battles Tomorrow at 1800 Hours. My Salute. Jim cry

God rest their souls and bless their families, those they grew up with and those who were their blood brothers. Amen.

good men that continue to live on in the memories and the hearts of their brethern are the closest man ever comes to being immortal.

glad you made it home Jim, truly thankful for that, my condolences for what you lost while serving and my heartfelt gratitude for your service.

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Thanks to them and to all the others.

Jim

Speaks worlds to remember veterans.

All I can say is a meager thanks, thats not nearly enough, for you, for your brothers. Both here and departed.
And that I will have the privilege of a handshake and pat on the back for all they did someday.

Didn't catch this till now, but will tip one in honor of them and you, and all current and former military.

Jeff
