If they do come home does that mean we don't have to raise taxes? Or does that mean they are coming home just to be sent to Africa?

No plan is worth a thing after the first shot is fired. Whether Iraq was a worthwhile war or not becomes moot if all the sacrifices of blood and treasure are thrown to the satanic wolves of Iran to appease political entanglements. I am as sure we will leave as I am Iran will rush in like a flood when we do. The death toll will be one sided and staggering and the world will blame, not Iran, but us.

Most likely that will happen. But it seems that Iraq would not allow a remaining force to have operating immunity. That is not acceptable.

If you are going to play( and that question should be SERIOUSLY considered prior) then you need to be committed for more than just a bit, but to complete the job the best you can. I'd love to see em all home myself. I think they've done a stupendous job over there though too, and many folks are appreciative on both sides of the world for it.

Yes, Iran will continue to influence Iraq, possibly more aggressively. Will that change in 1, 5 or 10 years from now? The plan for some time has been to get them out at the end of the year. Nothing has changed.
