The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is inviting public comments on its new rule regarding shotguns. It plans to ban them.

There will be a ban on imports. (Note: watch prices rise on those already in the USA.)

The basis of this ban will be the guns� semi-automatic status. It the magazine has more than five rounds, the weapon will be banned.

Why? Because the BATF designates these as �military.�

that came out in April of 2011, according to the blurb I saw the other day.

I guess they don't understand that the Second Amendment's purpose is to assure a parity between civilian arms and those held by the military.

Maybe atf would leave our over 5 shotguns alone if we promise to buy a couple thousand and give to their friends in Mexican Drug Cartel.

Major new gun restrictions came our way during both Reagan's and Bush 41's administrations, so why would you assume Romney, a Massachusetts liberal, would be a safe bet?

Because he's smart enough to realize to get a second term he best not F'k with the 2ND in any way shape or form.

I believe there are still several wearing knots from the election results of last November.

Hawkie, bless your heart. We all know you think that both sides are the same and the govt is just a Punch and Judy show with the strings being pulled by the international bankers or G8 or Rosicrutians or somebody. Maybe even the Wizard of Oz. Lord knows you have said it enough times. We get it.

That aside and right or wrong we ARE going to live under one regime or the other come next November. Most of us know which one we belive we have a better chance under, again right or wrong. Would we like a better choice, hell yes, most of us would but we ain't going to get it. Just got to play the cards we are dealt.

So most of us is playing out our hand the way we think best.

There is no limit on the magazine capacity of a flintlock, just like in 1787 when the Constitution was adopted.

The problem with your analysis is that you and your ilk played a major part in dealing us that hand, ridiculing anyone who wanted a meaningful alternative.
