She sure does and the little lady seems happy with her.

"Maddie" for short, "Madison!" for when she rips the garbage open or drags a dead skunk into the yard.

Something clever here.

I have a JRT/rat terrier mix that a friend named "Pickles". It's a great name for a cute, lovable dog. I'd say "Pickles" would be a good name for her as well.

Mine's a fox/rat terrier mix, with off the hook energy.
"Annie" fits her very well.
Love that lil chit...

I think you should name it what ya want.

I also think you made a lot of points in the"my daddy is awsome" book with the little lady in the photo.

Looks like you have a dog with a personality to match your daughter's. smile

I think they are going to get along in grand fashion!
My bet is that she will have the dog in agility contests before the dog makes it's 1st birthday. smile

Name her "Stella."

So you can call her in from the yard by yelling "Stellaaaaaaaaa!"

You know you've always wanted to.

Now that's a pup with personality. I believe the young lady has already bonded with the pup. Lots of good times ahead for all.

You could do what my father-in-law did when he named his cat. He called it "chithead". (actual word gets bleeped) He just loved the fact that each time he took it to the vet the ladies there would get such a kick out of being able to rightfully use the word chithead. (You know which word I'm talking about, right?)

I can just hear the conversations at the vet's office. "Hi chithead". "How are you today chithead?" Then, looking at my mother-in-law, "and how is chitheads mommy today?" grin

Nice looking pooch.

Mine goes by poop-eater and shedding-monkey; YMMV.

Rancho_Loco: I love the name "Madison" and that is a beautiful dog you saved there!
But it seems to me that far in the past I heard that dogs don't respond well to three part names (mad-ih-sun)?
I could be wrong but that is one reason we named our dog Henry (hen-ree) 14 years ago - and he can hear me calling his name from half a mile away.
Maybe if she does not respond to the three part name you can call out MADEE (for short)?
Best of luck with the new addition to your family!
I can't tell who is happier the puppy or the young lady?
