The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

Note to self. DO NOT go there for your warm weather vacation in the winter.

Note to self. DO NOT go there for your warm weather vacation in the winter. Rogers Pass is warm compared to this place.

Yeah, but it's a dry cold... below about -40, wet or dry, it really dont matter that said we have had a few employees from the great lakes region and they do prefer our -20 and 10% humidity to their 10 above and 100% humidity....

The coldest I ever saw was -49F back in the eighties. It had warmed up to about-20 when I went to check my beaver traps. I stepped in the middle of a runway and broke through the ice and went in up to my chest. That was one mad 500 yard dash through 2 feet of snow to get to my vehicle. That kind of cold can kill you quick.

I would imagine at -50F it can't hold a whole lot because it's frozen lol.

They only have about 3 hours of daylight, not that I would want to do anything outside.
