For the Central Texas members, a prison inmate escaped from an Austin hospital last night. Since it did not happen in New York, it will not make much news so passing it along. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The man-hunt continues for 34-year-old Dacious June Parker, also known as Corey. Oh, please. Slight difference between a pair of murderers on the loose who broke out of a maximum security lockup and another heading back to the joint for an assualt/parole violations. Good police/corrections work, BTW: "Wade says Parker ran from his room, un-handcuffed once a deputy stepped out for just a moment."

fyi - my next door neighbor is a magistrate, who just signed a felony warrant on this guy yesterday. We live within miles of the area of the escape. So this is close to home - literally.

Your post comes across as dismissive and condescending, which tends to prove the point.
A few points to consider - the area of this escape was from a hospital in the middle of the city. He was serving 20 years on felony assault with serious bodily injury. That is a dangerous combination for a starting point.
fyi - my next door neighbor is a magistrate, who just signed a felony warrant on this guy yesterday. He might happen to know a bit more about this person and situation than you. We live within miles of the area of the escape. So this is close to home - literally. It will be tense around my house and neighborhood until this guy is recaptured.
I do agree, the level of incompetence that allowed this to happen is just beyond belief. How hard would it have been to shackle this guy and/or have another officer standing by for observation - complete and total incompetence.
Your post is coming off as sounding a lot like "our escapee is badder that yours"! Most of us here have gotten beyond the seventh grade.

Sounds like a fine citizen. Not sure what the DA was thinking though.
