Glad to see you and the family get a chance to get out and be together... I know you are a hard working guy.... and I am sure you spend a lot of time away from family....
I use to do that, so I know how it feels...I gave it up 12 years ago... gave up a lot of income.. but don't regret it.. especially every time I get to spend some time with my son...
I missed most of his growing up from birth to age 7... and then in 2002 I decided what was really the most important things In life..
you pics show what is the most important things in life...
Kudos..

Sir, you are spot on and I will retire in a year or so at a relatively young age to enjoy the gang more.

Good for you and happy to read a year vice four. As you know my FIL just died at 60 and a very close friend of ours in February was 40. I met several hundred people at those funerals and I never heard a single person mention that either one wished they had spent more time at work.

Scott,
To be blunt, our exchange a couple of months ago did it. Really. Thumped me in the head more than you might think. You made me really ponder, something I consider myself excelling at and recalibrating of what really matters. For this, I do thank you.

Ed, that boy of yours even looks like a Queenslander...you had better leave him here.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Ed, that boy of yours even looks like a Queenslander...you had better leave him here. Well James he is going to stay to finish high school so another year and a half. His choice. He will live with his best mate's family here. He will be here, me in Korea and my wife and two other sons in Texas.
