I know nothing at all about "higher education" and very little about lower education so can somebody please tell me why we have an American university in Afghanistan?
The Mayans had it right. If you�re going to predict the future, it�s best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

"We" don't have one, I believe it's a private university. Why you'd stick the name American on something in Afghanistan is beyond me, tho.

The way I understand it, the American Univ. in Wash. DC has established campuses in a number of countries around the world. Some are accredited, some are not. Their goal is to spread education worldwide so they have campuses in some pretty backwards places...like Kabul.
