At the suggestion of one of the *Fire members I have posted this in this forum ans well as the "Custom & Wildcat" Forum.
Looking to possibly build a 338 RCM on a Rem 700, 300WSM action. I know others have built the 375 Ruger on L/A Mags (Rem, Win, etc), and have mentioned feeding issues. Can I "look forward" to this also being an issue with the 338 RCM on the S/A Mag (WSM) action? If so, can feeding issues be corrected relatively easily?
I did do some simple tests last night with 338 RCM dummy rounds in the proposed 300 WSM action with mag and floorplate attached. Loading the 2nd & 3rd rnds in the mag is a trick. All of the rnds ended up having galled cases.
