Does anyone know if Brownells sells those little u-shaped steel shims that Weatherby puts under the bottom metal of their rifles? I find them really useful for adjusting the fit of bottom metal in guns, but I can't seem to find them on the Brownells site.

Can't help you with an answer, but with a Dremel tool and some stock one could farbicate his own.
Found one of those in my Accumark and in my mind it's a cop out for a poor bedding job.

Agree...it is a workaround, but it's a simple and very effective workaround. In my case, I can bed the floor plate and bypass the shim, but the shims work so well. At least Weatherby tries to address minor fitting issues with the shims....haven't ever seen one on a Remchester, and it ain't because they're hand fitted!
