Can a 35 Rem be Chambered to 358? How about the cost?

I don't think the the 336 can handle 358 pressure. I think they are reamed to a 356, not a 358.

Can a 35 Rem be Chambered to 358? How about the cost? This is a serious question? Is the twist on a 35 rem different than a 356? II wish I could fine the original post.

I think the 35 Rem has a 16" twist and the 356 has a 12" twist.

The 356 is nothing more than a rimmed 358, allowing it to function in leverguns. Just like the 307 is a rimmed 308.
356 is what you want, not 358.
It can be rechambered, but it is better to have it rebarreled with a faster twist IMO......

Am I correct that the Marlin 336 action is designed around a +/- 36,000 psi limit?
