to fit properly when I wear 14" Schnee boots and heavy wool pants? Nothing so far zips or velcros correctly.

Did you try OR expedition crocodiles? What gaiters have you already tried?

Have you tried Kenetrek? Their description says they're designed to go over pac boots.

If the Crocs won't work I'm unsure of anything that will.

Good suggestion. The Exped Crocs are sized larger than OR's standard Crocs.

So far, Cabelas, Kenetreks and Kuiu - all too small. Will look at the recommendations that have been posted. Thanks

The OR crocs work over my wool and schnee combo. It's barely catches Velcro in the middle but I've never had a problem with it pulling open in some nasty country.

Thanks but I would never set foot in a REI. Can't deal with their politics they represent. Maybe its different in western states but here its a full greeny libtard indoctrintation.

Ok here is what I did. I checked out all the names mentioned here and looked at their websites. Checked prices too. $100 for OR Crocs is too much. One site had them for quite a bit less.
I also was looking for something in tan, camo or snow camo pattern, not just black. I primary use them for snow hunting with or without snow shoes.
I saw on the Kenetrek site that they have a camo and snow camo model. The snow camo was on sale for $35 and came in XL. I called them this morning to confirm that the circumference was larger than the L's, which I have. The lady said the XL's were "new" do to my wool pant/high lace up boot problem.

So a pair of snow camo XL is on their way with a $7.50 shipping fee. The problem should be solved and I will report back later this week when I get them.

Have you had a chance to try them? What are your overall impressions of the Kenetrek gaiters as I'm thinking about a pair at their sale price?

I've used the Kenetreks. They are certainly lighter than "mountaineering" gaiters like Crocs, and quieter as well.

Eventually blew out a seam after about a year, but that isn't too bad for gaiters. I'd run them again if I found them on sale.
