I won one of these at a club dinner last night. It is the basic 5.5" barreled model. How good are they? Pros and cons?

Thanks!

I have the 22S .... good little gun ... fairly accurate dependable and fun to shoot. Got mine used for a real good price and it looks beat up but runs like a charm. The mechanism that holds the slide back with an empty magazine is worn .... keep count and all is goodly.

I use it as a spare or loaner at the range.

You'll like it .. If you don't trip it for about $200.

Enjoy

I put many bricks of ammo thru one a few years back. I had to polish the feed ramp a bit to keep it from jamming when new but after a little shooting it ran for thousands and thousands of rounds with no bobbles. The buffers are a little brittle, might want to get some extras and replace occasionally.

The S&W boys at Rimfire Central seem to like them. I have a 5.5" 22A and it seems bulky compared to the 2206s that I shoot more often.

Very simple and easy to takedown-no tools required.Have got 50 rounds through mine-very accurate for a $250.00 pistol.
