Rugers 10/22.

What do you hunt with yours?
What would you hunt with yours?
Whats your largest kill with the 10/22?

If your an owner or a previous owner what's your opinion of the 10/22?

Thanks

10/22's are awesome!

I currently own 3 of them. I use them on paper targets almost exclusively, but have also popped a few sage rats with them.

I hunt small game and shoot beavers, crows and other nuisance animals with mine. I killed an injured whitetail with one.

I have 2..a box stock carbine from the late 80s and a first generation Clark Custom. The Clark has killed bazillions of ground squirrels and prairie dogs. Biggest animal killt with it was a big ol' ground hog. The other one has been a can killin' plinker most of the time. Lately most of the vermin have been bothering us during the dark hours, so the S&W 1522 with its laser and light has been called to action.

I bought my 1st 10/22 for $60 in 1974........I wore it out and rebuilt it. All kinds of varmints and small game expired in the sights of that little rifle. I still own it smile

I used to have one, but traded it. I shot squirrels with it (tree variety). It was plenty accurate for that and fun to shoot. I have recently been thinking about picking up another one.

What would I kill? What's the biggest? I'd try for anything up to and including coyotes if they're in my range. Big emphasis on TRY.

Opinion of the 10/22? I have 2 rimfire rifles, both 10/22's. Tell ya anything?

Ground squirrels, rockchucks, raccoons, coyotes are the normal targets and have taken deer with one in the past.

10/22's are at their best when restock and rebarreled with bull barrels. I've done that to 6 of them and all have great accuracy with a couple shooting .5" groups out to 70 yards.

Recently bought a Marlin 60 for $165 and have also been very impressed with it for the money.

Tree rats, paper targets and feral kittens. And a hard drive, oh and some beer cans, emptied so they died painlessly.

Suppress that bad boy and get to shooting... its a blast!
