Found 3 unopened boxes of Hornady 160gr RN bullets digging through my stash I acquired along the way. My .264 loves 140 VLDs and AB's so I'm not looking to replace those loads. But thought I may play around with a few of the RNs and see if I can find a load it likes with them.

Pac-Nor tube is twisted 1:8. Not having any luck finding any load data in current books or the likes of Reloadersnest, etc. Anybody have some knowledge they wanna share?

My old Hornandy 3rd edition has data. They list the following: IMR 4064,4895,4320,4350, and 4831. And Norma MRP. Win 785, H450 and H870.

Let me know what powder you got....

I just looked and the 4th has the same powders sans 785. And the 7th shows AA 3100 and 8700, N560, WIN WMR, and RL 22.

The Sierra has a VERY long bearing surface compared to the Hornady and doesn't fit real well in a 264 with a standard throat. the bullet has to be seated real deep. In the 6.5s I have which accept the Sierra 160, it is the most accurate bullet I have used and performs real well at the 2600 fps level. Seems more consistent than the Hornady. I am always on the lookout for the Sierras which have been discontinued. GD

Should be good in throat area...had Lee put a deep one in her grin. So, do you have any pet loads for the .264 you wanna share?
