Have a moose and bear hunt scheduled and a Montana deer in Nov. Just started hand loading.

Can you suggest some load work-ups for moose/bear and maybe some for 400-500 yd deer for those that shoot Tikka's.

I have noticed my other Tikka's really like the Hornady super performance ammo.

Would like to replicate with partitions

Here's the load I use with my Tikka T3 Lite 300WM and it is absolutely lights out at all ranges:

Winchester brass, Federal 215 primers, 200 AB's, and 65 grains of IMR5350. I use book OAL. This round kicks ass!

Of course, start low and work up.

I also shoot a 200gr NAB. 2900 fps from my Super Light, and plan to use it for everything (have a mule deer tag next month). R-P brass, 215, Ramshot Magnum, 3.35" COAL. Burns very clean, very cool, and groups under 1" at 100 yards. Run the ballistics on the 200gr NAB @2800-2900fps... its got a lot of steam left at 400 & 500 yards.

RL-22 with 180gr Accubonds is my load for my Sako m75ss 300WM. 74.0gr with 215 Federal primers gives me well under under 0.5" groups at 100m. This rifle was a shooter before even with factory loads.

I'm sighted in @ 3.5" high at 100m puts my zero @ close to 300-325m if I remember correctly.

IMO, the 180gr bullet is the bullet for the 300WM / 300WSM. Accubonds or TTSX's get my vote.

I load 75.5grs RL22 and 180 Hornady SPs, hard to beat that combo.

74.gr of RL22 with 180gr Accubonds and Federal 215 primers are my loads in my Sako m75ss 300WM.
