Does anyone have a NULA in 7wsm? I've got a 7wsm that I really like (and all the reloading supplies for it), but it is a heavy rifle. I really like the 7wsm cartridge and want a lighter rifle than my current 11lbs set-up. If anyone has a NULA in any of the wsm's I'd like to hear how you like it. Thanks!

A Kimber Montana in a WSM might cost less than a nula and it will have a 3 position safety and control round feeding.

I like the two I have in 270 and 7mm WSM. They weigh less than a M70 Featherweight yet have a 24" barrel.

If you can't find one in 7mm WSM then buy a Montana 270 WSM and shoot heavier bullets in it. It should do about the same as a 7mm.

One could even rebarrel a 270 WSM for a similar cost as a new nula.

I have a NULA in 270 WSM,it works just fine and shoots itty bitty groups.

These WSM rifles are built on a shortened NULA Model 28 which Mel says weighs exactly 24 ounces(like a Model 24).

I'm sure NULA could build a dandy 7mm WSM.

I have a LH 300WSM NULA. Bought it in 2002. I like it plenty but if I could do a "do over" or trade even, I'd opt for the good old 30-06.

I know that ain't what you want to hear!

I carried it last year for a couple days and enjoyed myself quite a bit. Never pulled the pin on a deer during those days but I have ALL the confidence in the world with it and will carry it again this year......(unless I carry the 7mm-08 NULA!!)

Yeah. I guess so. It would be about one third the cost.

I have both Montanas and NULAs and like them both.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to decide what to do. Probably just need to call the shop and see what Melvin has to say about the 7wsm in his rifles. Thanks again!

Or 708 or 280/280AI......I would like to shoot a NULA in a wsm before buying. It "might" be a lil more than I'd enjoy? Really can't say? Course I am prolly a lil more recoil sensitive than some too?

I am not trying to talk you out of a nula as i have a couple myself but you could buy any standard weight rifle in this caliber and put it in an edge stock and be pounds lighter than what you have now.

My 7mm Rem Mag ULA gets your attention at the bench, but isn't punishing and of course its not noticed in the field. I think the stock does well in that regard. I had a 300wsm Montana that was worse. (175s vs 180s).

I think the 284 is probably the most "Classic" of the NULA-ULA's from what I have read. The recoil probably macthes the weight of the rifle better, still short action, with enough juice to push the 168gr bullets well, and would probably hold its value very well over time (if you care about such things). I've read brass is a bit of an issue, but so is 7wsm. So many choices!
