I wish I had the cash...I've always wanted to try one. They seem like a good rifle to me.

I have a 308 weather shield model, won it at a raffle a few years ago. So far, it's shot everything from 150-180 very well.

Got a 708 weathersheild. Picked it up off gunbroker for $357 before the rebates went on.
Love it...its a tack driver w/lots of loads.
Barrel hardly fouls its so smooth right out of the factory.
Right now on gunbroker 3006 are bringing about $310 then you get $75 off.
Bargain of the century if looking for a spare or truck rifle!

My buddy has a few of them now. He used to be a savage guy. He seems to like them and they are very accurate. Very easy to load for. Some of the older ones had magazine's that were too tight, but I guess they remedied that problem??

I have a .270 Weathershield that my son hunts with. Accurate as advertised. Best hunting rifle that TC makes.

I have a 25-06 that is crazy accurate with everything I have run thru it. I did buy a 30-06 for 299 then got the $75 rebate. It shoots about average, nothing to write home about. Will probably unload it. The 25-06 is a keeper.

My son has one (30-06) that has been recalled twice. First rifle he got, the sear would not hold. He returned the rifle to the dealer and received another which seemed to work just fine. Shot really well, but then we received a recall notice to send the rifle back to check the sear engagement. It checked out OK but the trigger had been reset to about 5 lbs. I reduced it to 3 and have not had any problems. Recently, just before his elk hunt we received the second recall notice concerning an issue with the safety. Haven't sent it back yet but this rifle will be sent down the road as soon as it gets back from TC. Too many issues for me to put any trust in this rifle.

That makes sense prwlr, but atleast they are contacting people and letting them know there's a problem. Some other manufactures may try sweeping stuff under the Remington (oops, I mean rug)...

I had a Venture in 308. Crazy good rifle. Shot a nice 11-point Whitetail at 200 yards with it last year. Sold it to try a Creedmoor, but I want a Venture Compact now for hunting in timber.
