Calibers, model numbers, powders... it's all good. Without a doubt, if a number coincides with a powder, caliber or firearm model, it's a LOT easier for me to remember....... Casey

If I pass one of the banks and see 250, 257, or 757 on the clock, I just grin.

If at the beginning of the year you own fifty or so,
decide you have too many and sell 30
and at the end of the year you still have fifty,
another 30 that you just couldn't live without, having followed you home.
or
you drive a 15 year old truck so you can take your $750 a month payment and buy a rifle instead.

Gun nut was the old term, been one for a while. At age 11 I went down to the Marine Corps recruiting office to see if they had any "cool" stuff on the Marines. I remember the gunny and his assistant were impressed that even at that tender age I could quote the fast and slow cyclic rate of fire of the BAR and knew the muzzle velocity of a .45 ACP. Could probably relate some similarities to Jesus talking knowingly of religious matters with the elders at the temple when he was 12 but that might be stretching things a bit...

When flying, about 20 minutes out from the destination, when I get the latest weather observation (ATIS), and the altimeter setting (barometric pressure) just happens to be 30.06 mb's, I get a big grin because I know I am going to get a nice landing and a smooth touchdown. I take it as a lucky omen.

Not me. I only chuckle when I see 69. Me too!! Always amused with the numbers. One phone# I call often is 4831.I am an estimator here at work and always have a good feeling when the final price is a caliber. 264 comes up a lot as well as 358,but it is not limited to those. Steel supplier knows that I like the #69 in the pricing and we get a chuckle out of it when the final price has that # in it,and she has a funny laugh that makes one feel good. LOL Also get a good feeling when the clock show's it is 2:57,3:08,3:38,etc. And my banks # in their address is 378! And I drive a PETE 357! oh it goes on and on.But I do take notice and smile..

The phone number to my FFL dealer is 3006. I always pause for a moment of silence at 7:57.

I like 77. That's just like 69 except you get 8 more.
