I've known more guys to have a 700 in 243 rebarreled to
308 than vise versa, and a few 308s have become 358s.

oh, the best barrel is 7MM.
In between, but ever so efficient.

YOu could probably find someone that would just trade their 243 for your .308, that would be about $400 cheaper...OR sell yours and buy a .243//
