Will this scope(VX3) gel with either Leupold QR's or Talley U/L mounts. Does anyone have pic's of one with this combo?

How long's your neck? Seriously, I'm quite sure you will need an extention ring or base on the front.

I think it will work with the Talley LW's,but not sure.I know a 2-7 will work on them..The scope is a bit short to mount without a Leupold rear extension, which is what I have on M70's in 270 and 7 mag.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Early 90's Redfield two piece mount/rings & 2.5-8x36 VariX-III Mid 90's Leupold one piece mount/rings & 2.5-8x36 VX-III Of course you don't want to use windage bases; I posted these to show where the rings are located on the windage base in relationship to the length of the scope. If the bases you want are used I don't think you will have enough scope length to mount it with any choice as to placement.

I have a M70 Classic with Talley LW's and a VXIII 2.5-8 and love the combination. There isn't much room for front to back movement, but it fits.

FWIW I decided to go with the talley steel bases and rings on my FWT and originally put a VXIII 2.5-8 on it. With that scope I needed to front extension base. I have since changed it out to a FXII 6x36 post and duplex and don't need the front extension with that longer scope.

Is this with the front Talley UL mount spun around & what length action?
