A friend gave me this several years ago and said it was a bore coating. I wasn't aware of bore coatings before this. Is this Dyna Bore Coat in old packaging? Is the coating now clear instead of grey?

I'm not a gun writer, but yes what you describe is exactly DBC..does it reduce your fouling?
Just install it I'm sure it will work

I think what you have there is Dyna Bore Crud , it is used after cleaning the bore instead of firing fouling shots.

If you have had it for a few years, it has probably dried up. I had this happen to me with the original packages. The new stuff seems to have better shelve life because of it's metal container.
