I've seen bagged wine in the liquor store that look like retort bags. Is that what they are and has anyone consumed from them?

Seems like a good way to reduce weight if one were to take some wine on a trip.

I have not seen bags of box wine that were opaque... all I have seen are clear...

Haven't seen the retort type bags of wine, but will say that box wine is the way to go for wine on a hunting trip. No glass to break, lighter, and you can burn it when it's empty. My unsophisticated palate says it ain't bad wine to top it off! Hell, I drink it at home. Bota Box brand is my favorite.

The ones I'm referring to are not in boxes. Just in mylar? bags.

I'll try to take a pic next time I see them, if I remember.

Jeff- neighbor calls it 'highest quality gulping wine'!

Retort bags are not mylar. They are "metalized plastic."

I Googled 'wine in retort bags' and this thread was #4 hit. lol

Apparently they are called "spouted pouches". Maybe not retorts?

I think I have met strippers by the first two names, not too sure about a stripper named Ignite though...
