Just say, you invited some of your best friends over for a meal, a good meal.

What is your menu? Provided you had all the makin's!

Depends on the friends... could be a prime ribeye and sauteed mushrooms and onions... then again, it could be dominos and bud light.

if it were today, I could do blackened Redfish, Venison back strap on the grill, and I could thaw out a few lobsters.

Well men, firstly, in keepin' with the theme that seems to have developed here, I'd put up my signs.
"Watch your coat, and hat."
'No shirt, no shoes, no service."
"Please don't shoot the piano player."
"We reserve the right to not serve anyone".

Now then, the old time thresher's meals always look good to me, plain food, and lot's of it.

Baked ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, corn, peas, and pie!

Good Sam!! I just chatted so briefly with him in Big Falls in March a few years back.
I still had 6 hours of driving that day, so--.

It is fun to be face to face with folks on the "fire".

ain't it the truth! Went shooting with him and his son Jim Jr. His handle here is Mack5511. Ate lunch at The Freezer bar and fish house. Homosassa FL. Google it, one helluva good restaurant. We had fish, smoked mullet dip, boiled shrimp and beer. smile
