What is the least expensive camera I could buy that would be suitable for pics of scopes and similar items for ebay sale?
Thanks

many can be had for $100-ish. Olympus and Sony spring to mind as being particularly economical for said limited used.

if ALL you want to do is take pics to post for ebay, I'm guessing you should be able to find a used camera for $20-50 (check ebay) smile

I did a search for "digital camera" then refined my choice for price 20-50; 4-5 megapixels and used. found about 300 with these options. check with seller for good feedback, be sure the camera works, etc.
could also look on a local craigslist.

You don't need more than 5 megapixels (probably not even 3 MP) if all you want are ebay pics!

We have a new Pentax Optio S1, 14 MP with 5x zoom and HD video with image stabilization as well and a great macro. With a case and a 4 gig card we can do it for 79.99 shipped. This once sold for 179.99 for the camera only

I remember a few years back when I paid almost $500 for an 8 MP that didn't have HD or macro. Wow!
