Can the Sako Hunter or Classic pattern be inletted for the Interams Mark X action?

I would think so, but a quick email to McMillan or a phone call would answer your question. The sako hunter is probably the best stock design I have ever held, comfortable dose not even come close to describing it. McMillan customer service is great.

Good luck, good hunting, and good times.

Calling McM on Monday is on my agenda. Just thought maybe someone here on the 'Fire had possibly stock a Mk X in a Sako pattern and could chime in.

The Sako Classic and the Interarms Mk X mauser stocks are the same stock design. Just one has the rear tang fitted to the Sako type actions and one has the rear tang fitted to the 98 type actions.
we can inlet the Sako Hunter stock for the Mk X actions, the rear tang just has to be filed down to blend in with the rear tang of the action and then refinished. We charge a little customizing fee for this.

Dick,

What other McMillan stock patterns can be customized to fit the Interarms MK X action? I really like the lines and shape of your Sako 75 Safari, Weatherby Express, and the Winchester Safari. Are any of these doable?

Thanks.

Pinot,
Sorry, just the standard Sako designs. Sako 75 stocks are to deep in the action area and Winchester and Wby designs don't match in other places.
