I though the Hunters Edge had a shorter forend than most. But in checking the specs on OAL, it shows that it's 31", the same as a Classic.

This right?

My Classic Edge and Hunters Edge are basically the same OAL. There is a smidge of difference. This may be attributed to Classic with a 1" recoil pad and Hunter with 1/2" pad. Both stocks have 13.5" LOP. The Hunter has definite skinnier feel up front.

Thanks,

I was always under the impression the Hunters Edge had a shorter forend, better suited for short tubes ala Varmint.

Didn't realize the M7 had that much shorter forend, even though I've had a couple. I did like the ergos of it.

I'm having a hard time leaving my comfort zone of a Classic....

Nothing to order a 7 in Edge fill. I like the more open grip of the Hunters Edge/Compact over the classic/M7
