I just picked up a 120A. The guy that I bought it from sold it because he was told that it takes a strange scope mount and a 7/8" scope that he "won't ever be able to find." Supposedly the grooves in the receiver are different than modern rimfire grooves. I'm thinking that he just doesn't know where to look. I have a mount that came off a Marlin Glenfield somewhere around here but I haven't been able to find it to see if it is the same.
Does anyone here have such a mount (or mount and scope) that they'd like to sell or can anyone tell me where to look and what to look for? Its a neat little gun and it still shoots really well but a prior owner let the outside of the barrel get rusty and then sanded it down so its not worth a whole lot. My plan is to refinish the metal and wood and give it to a couple of nephews who are really interested in shooting. (If it turns out really nice that plan might be subject to change).
Thanks!
Jim
