Can be seen on pages 48 and 49, "PLATE X - ACCESSORIES" called "Spring Balance", of the LEWIS MACHINE GUN HAND-BOOK. It was used to check the mainspring tension which was supposed to be between 12 and 14 pounds. Now the dunce cap is coming off for good!

I've got 6 or 7 so just pull one against the other to find the good ones. Many have come back to the US via eBay-England. Savage...never say "never". Rick...
