Hell, that sounds like the .300 Savage, which can't run the the same race as the 06. For that matter, neither can the .308. What am I missing? Is the .30 TC a fatter case?? When Hornady introduced their offering for the .30TC, they boasted the faster velocity and attributed it to their new proprietary powder (which I believe they now refer to as their Superformance powder). Today on Hornady's website (http://www.hornady.com/store/30-TC-150-gr-SST-superformance/) they list identical velocities for the .30TC and .308 in their Superformance line with the 150gr SST bullet.
