I've been coveting this knife for awhile. I passed through the Bagram PX and saw they had several available for a decent price, so when I was back there this week to catch a flight I broke out the credit card.

Benchmade Auto Presidio with a black 154CM drop point blade.





Taking advantage of this opportunity to send my Griptilian back to Benchmade for their factory sharpening offer. I've been very happy with that knife and am excited about another one of their products.

What exactly is the "auto" and how does it work?

Pull back on the Axis Lock and it opens.

I use the same knife as a daily carry knife, love it!!!

FVA- The Presidio is very nice in Benchmade's regular opening version as well. I don't think you can go wrong with their Axis-Lock system in a working lockblade. Very simple but very strong. It is used in several of their knives, I've had the Griptilian for 6 or so years and it is a champ.
