Hey all Im picking up my new 336w this week and I am wondering what is a good sight option? I will be using this for close quarter cow elk combat! I need a sight that will be good at dusk. I really dont want to scope it but might have to.

I think the factory sights suck, could be my stigmatism. I put a scope on mine because I thought the rifle patterned, I discovered it was me and those sights.

Many options, peep sights, Burris fast fire(they make a mount), fire sights. Take a trip to M owners.

Good choice. Probably see the end of the barrel at low setting.

I can with the ones I have, but find them to be no distraction. Love the field of view in cover.

Check out skinner peep sights. They can be had with different size apertures for varying light conditions. You will most likely have to add a taller front sight but skinner also sells them pretty cheap. I've got one on my 336 and love it. Much better than the factory irons.
