When did Marlin start drilling the 336 receiver tops for scope mounting? I was looking at a 1949 with no holes on top. I have a '51 and "52 that are but figured they were drilled post factory. What is the true story? Thanks, Bruce

Yup. I had a '54 that wasn't and a '55 that was factory D&T'd.

54-55 seems to be about right.
