Lucky guy for sure! Bull or Any Elk tag? My nephew has done some planting for the DNR to sustain the elk heard in the Pigeon River.
Send me a PM if he needs a guide.

Lucky guy indeed. Wasn't last year's success rate for a bull tag right around .001%?
Be sure to let us know how he makes out.

When my '06 is called to service for elk, it will be with 168 gr TSX over H4350.

Well, no bear tag for me, I have 4 points on that one now so next year is looking good.
All the better anyway, we are going to do this hunt together right down to the orientation on the 31st of Aug.
Man I hope he scores a nice bull!!!
I am looking at 168TSX's and have some 4350. I also have a full box of 150Tsx's. For the life of me I cannot figure out why those may not work and he likes a 150gr load for recoil better.

Its prety hard not to kill a god bull if you're dad can still walk. Are you going to get a guide or go it alone? I would get a good local guide who has access to some private ground, IMO it would be well worth any fee since a MI bull is a once a life time tag.
The father of the local gun club mgr killed a nice bull last December, I think he was a 305 or 315 IIRC, lots of mass, good solid bull.

That is awesome, good luck to you both. I had a cousin that shot a very nice MI bull about 16 years ago. It is one of his most memorable hunts.
