I just bought 30 cans of Chili, with no damn beans.
That will be three cans per day for the season with one left over.
Should be OK now.

All those who are about to insult me for buying without beans.......................GFY. grin

OK, 27 cans with three left over

Not much variety in that diet.

I once worked with a guy who bought a case of Hormel to eat for lunch every day on a job site. He got pretty lonely at lunchtime.

perhaps you should clarify....

is it your goal to shoot an elk, or to paint a particular mountainside in sh%troglyphics?

that is too funny!

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

I'm starting to work on my elk camp food.
First up, I made and froze 4 servings of shrimp scampi with sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts.

This weekend I'll grill upper choice Angus sirloin brochettes.

My brother is making the homemade chili, with no beans.

Yeah, I was kidding some, we actually eat fairly well in camp, but the chili is easy fix when we get back to camp cold and hungry.
Gonna be a small camp this year, two and maybe three will be missing. One is out of school and working a new job, one is in Alaska, and one in South Korea.
Gonna be a bitch for us old guys having to cut and split the firewood.

Beans add lots of protein to the chili. Why no beans?

Seems everybody carries water and dried food in their packs. F-that.

I shop for cans of soup that have a lot of water and a lot of chunky food stuff in them. Stuff like chunky veg beef. I still carry some water separately but I dont carry as much, cause my soup can is like a canteen... with meat and taters in it.

I use the paper wrapper to help start a little fire with a few twigs, lay the can in there to heat it up, pack the empty can out with me.

I know this has nothing to do with bean or no bean cans of chili... it was more of a random thought as I prepare for an upcoming elk hunt as well.

Something clever here.

If I was you, might add some hard boiled eggs, about two doz. Hot Dogs and some Sauerkraut, Mustard, Onions, Pepto - Bismol and some TP..You might need some Rolaids or Tumms

I hope you have a good time hunting.
