anyone have any advice about this unit for late season cow hunting?

Get lots of HMA permission slips. The pdf downloads are geo-referenced so you can use your phone to navigate them with the Avenza app. Have a GPS with ownership maps.

1135, Last year I went with Elk Mt. Outfitters. Had a great hunt.. My pal and I killed ours the second day.. He and his son struck out this year, but the son missed two good shots.... Lots of private land, so I didn't DIMS.. My pal was from out of state, and we had a ball..

any particular areas that one should focus on? Wish I could say yes. We hop-scotched from one public access to another until we found them. The ones we killed were on a south slope but not visible from the main road. Though easily visible after a short walk over the ridge that paralled the road. I need to point out I had a local with knowledge of the area with me. So I just went where he said. We did kill our two on a HMA but I can't remember which one. Sorry I can't be of more help
