Filled out the paperwork for my new RRA complete lower assembly today. I was told to expect a call in 4-5 days notifying me of approval. Then I will have my lower. I feel pretty lucky, got in just one day before the jump in prices. I paid the going rate, $329 NIB and includes two 30 round magazines. The lady that submitted my paperwork informed me that I was number 10,001 on the wait list of purchasers. I am assuming the list referenced was just for the state of CO. Too bad the wait is so long, but it is what it is.....I really believe it will be a week, maybe longer...

Interesting - paid off a layaway on a m1a this evening around 7:00. I was the only one in the gun dept. and the call went through immediately. I don't think I was in the store 15 minutes...

In Colorado the background check is done by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI)not the FBI Instacheck. The CBI is overwhelmed and what took minutes is now taking days. This weekend there is a big gunshow in Denver and some people are going to get an awakening when they purchase a firearm.

Must just be a Colorado thing. I just hand them my Michigan CPL and they don't have to even call.

Just called one in last night for a friend, wait time was maybe 15 seconds and cleared him in a few minutes. I was amazed.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Was in Cabela's at the Phoenix store on the saturday before Christmas and the line at the gun check out area was at least 50 people long, and while in the store for 1 1/2 hours the line moved about 5 to 10 people. Lots of disgust. Nothing much black left on the selves either.

Where last week I couldn't get through at all, today I actually had them answer the phone right away. The rush must be over, although that could be because nobody has anything to sell. I deal with both the state of WI for handguns and the FBI for long guns. Last week was really bad, even early this week. Today, not so much.
