Saw an odd one tonight! Sure looked like a #1B in 458 Winchester. No sights, 26", and rib on the barrel. #1B forend. Red pad. Definitely not a #1H.

Anyone else ever seen one... seemed like an odd combination!

My best guess is that it was a rebarrel project. Bet that sucker was heavy!

Never heard of one either, so I agree a rebarrel.

I'll have to look at it again a little closer... looked pretty legitemate down to the barrel markings. I really didn't look for "warnings", etc. nor did I pay too much attention to the serial #.

With the serial number you are a phone call to Ruger away from finding out the caliber and configuration in which the rifle left Ruger. Including the month and year of manufacture.

If there is any proof of a man in a hunt it is not whether he killed a deer but how he hunted it.
