Heading over to the Eastern Shore for ducks and geese on Saturday. Supposed to be balmy weather, but the ponds are full from the hurricane and we're seeing more ducks on them than we have in a long time, including a couple flocks of black ducks. I think I'll throw a few extra shells in my bag!
We get together at my buddy's farm the night before and swap lies, er, tales of gallantry well into the night, coaxed along by draughts of good beer and fine whiskey. I look forward to this like most people look forward to Christmas!
