Strongly considering red stag hunt in Europe. I understand that Romania and Hungary offer free range hunting of red stag and other species.
Looking for advice and recommendations for outfitters who have good reviews. Looking for reasonably priced hunt and accommodations.
This would be a family hunt/vacation.
Any info is appreciated.

JMV,
Reach out to Horia at Unforgettable Hunting. I have hunted with him twice, and he provides great service for both hunting and sightseeing in Romania.
Check on when the Red Stag are in Roar, and if possible, you may be able to combine with a Roe deer hunt. There are plenty of trophy Roe deer in the area Horia hunts.

Be aware that trophy hunting in Europe often has a sliding trophy fee based on the quality of the trophy. a CIC Gold Medal stag can get right pricey in a hurry. If you have hunted Europe, then you probably know this.

For example in my area I can make offer regardless trophy size...because I know that US hunters are interested in this king of deals. You also can combine this hunt with a trip for your wife or girlfriend with sightseeing of Romania / Dracula Castle / modern history / everything ... depend what you are interested in .

I have a good free-range stag lead for you in Scotland. I was over there in early October during the roar. It's an easy drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will get a stag (or multiple, if you want).

I can't recommend an outfitter, but I do recommend only hunting during the roar. It is one of the best experiences I've had hunting to be able to watch and listen to rutting red deer. Think of bugling elk X10.
Don't just be a survivor, be a competitor.
