She was small and all alone so I didnt let her get away. Last saturday night at about 2240. I wached her for a few minutes while she dug into a stump with maize in it. I heard her come in alone and nothing else spooked when i pulled the trigger so I dont think she is part of the rotl that visited me last week. She may be the single pig that I have been watching tracks from in the snow and mud for months though.

Jagd,
Weidmannsheil. I like how you are are as particular about using the german "Weidmannssprache" as you are about "ansprechen" of the animal.
Allow me to "refine" this a bit -
You have shot a "berluferbache" that came in alone - not in a "Rotte".
Recognizing the "Hubertus" Filzpolster for quietly resting the forearm on the "Hochsitz" window.
Again, Weidmansheil to you.

Waidmannsheil, good looking pig, and I like your full stock rifle too! It looks like you have some wonderful memories there.

The cz stutzen has been a great rifle and my primary since winter 09/10 i think. I have probaby taken close to 50 animals with it. The shorter barrel has been exceptional for stand hunting and I think it holds 5 or 6+1 so it has gotten great use on the drive hunts. It looks like it has been hunted for 20 years already so a refinishing is in the near future as soon as I get another mount for my blaser that lets me put the good night hunting scope on it.
