http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=468876270

I called this azzhole out about it and he replied he was going to report me. Really? Goforit!

When was the last time you were ever able to contact gunbroker directly and get a response anyway, azzhole?

Friggin' moron.

What's the issue with the listing- other than being severely overpriced? Looks like a $750 gun to me, but someone may actually pay that much.

Obama should do something about this. There needs to be a law...

With your obvious displeasure at the price of this gun, I wouldn't buy it, if I were you.

yeah, as he says, the stock IS "rougher". But I don't see where he misrepresents it- just seems a little optimistic about it's worth.

You could grow old waiting to sell that one for 500.00 where I shop.
Doesn't stop him from asking whatever he wants to though.
Maybe you could trade straight across with him for a 1200.00 dollar 10-22?

Same here, POP.
Sorry, sir. That's a $500-$600 gun you're trolling for $1150.

That 10-22 trade ain't a bad idea, but not one of my good ones. I could drop the Winnie into a nice Mac Edge or Echols Legend, if he threw in say, $350. smile

But, I also got a really nice stainless slingshot that'll dot a tomcat's eye with a marble at a hunnerd feet he could maybe talk me out of. Maybe.

Not worth getting your panties in a bunch over, chill out and wait till a better gun that is fairly priced comes along. Inflated prices are everywhere, check out 52 Sporters, M/70 parts or Alaskan scopes for just a few more examples of gouging.

Wiz, I hear ya. Not upset. Just call a spade a spade when it comes to gougers, especially on a rifle I've been looking for. .270 FWT being one of 'em.

Heck, I wouldn't at all even mind stumbling on a 64 or Model 12, like those stashed in a Kaywoodie, tmitch, RGK or shrap library. smile

Who are you to say what he should be charging for his rifle? IF you think it's to much then don't buy it, pretty simple.

reelman, like I said.. and I am to say. Callin a spade a spade.

Gunbroker's got some dreamers and unrealistic sellers, but I can't call them gougers because you have a choice to look elsewhere. Probably for every gun I've bought off there I've looked at, and turned down, a hundred others of the same model. Don't like the price, the condition, the terms of the sale? Move on and don't look back, there'll be what you're looking for eventually......but be ready to slap leather cuz you aren't the only one looking for it.

Would have no problem paying $500.00 for that gun....a real bargain at that price. Matter of fact, I'll take two or three of them.

Local Dirt, You will not like where I price my model 70's, most come in high and go out higher! When it comes to pre 64 mod 70's you have to bear in mind you started out with 600K.... How many are left out there is anyones guess. very best winpoor

Local Dirt, were I in the biz of putting a value on a gun or if I were to make that guy an offer I would give him 750 and never bat an eye. I would clean it up and refinish the wood and hunt hell out of it, Im saying this without going back and looking the gun over as I hate extra holes! I have seen and bought many dogs that cleaned up real nice and after a real ,to the metal bore scrub and several factory loads to look see what they liked ended up being super shooters! No doubt some bad barrels got out the door but Ive been very lucky when it came to pre 64 model 70's and accuracy. On a good day I might offer the fellow 800 for this gun! very best my friend! Personally, I don't think he's way out of line. If you've ever looked for a good 270 fwt, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Yes, there's killer deals out there. If you are willing to wait it out. Good luck on finding a really nice 270 fwt for under $1,300.00. One thing I've noticed about the 270's, is most of them got used hard, kind of like the 375's and 338's. Guys bought these in particular with full intent on using them. I guess we'll see if he gets any bids on the rifle. That will tell us if it is priced too high. If it were me, I'd probably pull the scope and rings. Sell them on ebay, pull the stock and sell it on ebay, and slap it in a nice brown McMillan grin . That's just me and I'm goofy that way...
