received an invite to fish a private lake on a friend's hunting land. loaded the truck and headed to tensaw, alabama. launched the canoe into a cypress lined slough and made our way to the lake. tossed live crickets on ultralight spinning reels with 4 pound mono.

sun warming things up - was 60 degrees this morning:

caught quite a few bream in this area:

i sure didn't want to leave but we had to meet family for dinner:

we ended the day with 2 catfish, 3 white perch, 4 or 5 goggle-eye and 30 or so bream. good eats for sure!

Those goggle-eye eat as good as the white perch.

Are those white perch or crappie? They call them crappie out here.
