Well, Harlon dialed in my bow, so this was not my skill set to set up. I just shoot them!

We also as a group seem to be confident that a slick trick hits about the same as a field point. Well here is a good comparison. In case you have ever wondered, a 63 lb draw bow shooting a 425 grain arrow with a field point will not pierce a quarter taped to a block target at 25 yards. However, .... a 125 grain Slick trick will pierce right through it!

I wanna see what a 70-80 lb bow shooting a fast arrow does to a quarter, with a field point and a broad head now, even a cut on contact head! This was with a 270fps arrow.

It's a tiny target at 25 yards. I sliced through the edge of a couple quarters on the first couple tries. But the third one was the charm dead center!
If I was a deer I'd wear a coat made of quarters wink
Interesting..............Keep shooting JJ.

Nice shooting Tex! I'm a Slick Trick believer. I used to shoot Rocky Mountain Premiers with similar results until they stopped making the ones I liked.
I really like slick tricks. Same POI as field tips and is a deers worst nightmare. I use them with my ten point crossbow and shot a doe and it was devastating.

Was a quartering away shot. Sliced through both side of rib bones, through the heart and unfortunately through her righ shoulder. Still went into the ground to the nock..
That's MR. TEX

To you young man!
JJ...I'll be the speed bow guinea pig once I get my Obsession in and rigged out. Will be a beast. 435 grain arrow at a tad over 300fps
I use the slick tricks also.

can we see a pic of the broadhead after the impact with the quarter.

thanks, gary
It looks like a brand new broad head . There is not a mark on it.
slick tricks are the best

The only practice for me is with 100gr field tips.

I screw on the slicks just before I head into the woods. wink

I see several different style of tricks on their site. I'm switching from Rage and going back to a fixed blade head and am considering one of the slick tricks. Will be shot out of a HTR at 29" 70lbs. I am currently using Easton Bloodlines and with a 100gr field tip weigh 412. Whitetails are the target.

Advice on which trick?
They are all good!
I use 100gr Standards
No wrong choice with them

I really like the viper tricks. The best penetrating most consistently accurate head I've ever used.

I guess it's no more accurate then other slick tricks. But they do whistle thru everything I've hit.
