While working ground after Thanksgiving I saw a fairish 10 point whitetail get up out of a fence row and hobble off with an arrow sticking out of his right hip. I asked around and found that a relative of a neighbor had done it on the neighboring farm. Neighbor said the young man was still hunting but only for that buck, and had said he wouldn't shoot anything else but that one.
I thought that was pretty stand up of him.
Is that typical ?

Not a good deal, but I agree. Hope you called and told him the same story. [bleep] does happen, and more often when bowhunting.
