Because of the heat I just have not had the drive to hunt this year. I love bow hunting but sweating while sitting in a tree is not my idea of fun. Today the temperature was close to 80 degrees and the wind was blowing. I decided to hunt this evening anyway. Within 15 minutes of getting settled in my stand I had a doe come within 30 yards. She walked into a nearby thicket and then the woods got quiet. Not even the squirrels were rambling. An hour later the woods came alive. A young 3 point stepped out of the thicket at 27 yards and began feeding. I watched him for about 5 minutes and then the wind changed and blew in his direction. He became alert, smelled me and jumped back in the thicket. I didn't see any more deer but I was satisfied with my hunt. It's not about the kill anymore as much as it is the satisfaction knowing I chose the right stand location. I was in range of the quarry I was hunting and could have possibly made a kill if I chose to. I seem to enjoy the experience of the hunt more than the kill nowadays.

Same thing here. Mid day temps 85* but the deer have been really active especially in the evenings.

I love to hear pigs squealing when you stick them.

I like the way pigs squeal when you stick an arrow in them.🤡
