Has anyone ever fly fished for Guadalupe bass? I've heard pound for pound they are the best fighting bass found. Anyone have any experience with these guys?
This thread has not been replied to in a month and a half, but I will provide a little input if WhitetailJoe is still interested. I have fished for them on the Llano River around Junction, and have also caught them surprisingly far south on the Colorado River. I think they are quite beautiful, moreso than any other type of bass I have caught, and they are wonderful sport on a light flyrod. I have not found them to require any special techniques; just pursue them as you would any small bass. Best of luck.
pound for pound a bulegill will out fight a bass of the same weight 5 to 1....
